Studio Baffetti was founded in 1992 by Giacomo Baffetti.

Thanks to its focus on company development, the Studio became in a few years one of the most important firms in the area of agricultural consulting within the province of Siena.

Bio

Francesco Baffetti was born in Orvieto on 12 July 1987. In 2006, he graduated from agricultural high school (Istituto Agrario in Siena).

In 2010, he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science and Technology at the University of Florence, with a thesis titled “Proposta progettuale per la realizzazione di edifici a servizio di un’azienda agricola in Provincia di Siena” (proposal for the design and construction of dwellings for the development of an agricultural firm in the province of Siena). In 2012, he obtained a Master Degree (110 / 110 cum laude) within the same field of study. His experimental thesis, written in cooperation with Italy’s National Research Council, focused on an analysis of vegeto-productive responses of durum wheat to ultraviolet sun radiation (“Analisi delle risposte vegeto-produttive del frumento duro alla radiazione solare ultravioletta”).

In 2013 he obtained a professional certificate as a freelancer for the agronomic sector.

Since the beginning of his studies, Francesco gained extensive professional experience by carrying out practical duties (mainly by working in grape-harvesting and in wine cellars). More recently, he has worked – together with renowned professionals – on the design and construction of private gardens and on the assessment of the stability of arboreal specimens.

Currently, he takes part in the activities carried out by the Studio Baffetti – besides working as a consultant in the wine-making and agro-touristic sectors.
